Build Quality and Design
At first glance, the XROS Nano’s square-ish shape and corner cutout seem reminiscent of the popular Drag Nano 2 pod vape. But Vaporesso’s rendition feels very much its own, with a slimmer and lighter profile coming in at just 63.1mm tall by 14.9mm wide. The smooth contours and matte metallic paint give it an upscale, minimalist look.
The device comes in 6 attractive colors: silver, space grey, black, green, yellow, and pink. A silver accent line and carbon fiber rear panel provide contrast against the main color. Thick diagonal grooves on one side add aesthetic flair while supplying grip. It’s small and comfortable for all-day carry.
The pod clicks firmly into place via strong magnets. A clever LED sequence follows pod insertion and removal. Through the large transparent windows, ejuice level remains clearly visible. The mouthpiece and fill method work flawlessly during testing. No signs of leaks or flaws in construction were observed.
Overall, the XROS Nano achieves a sleek yet eye-catching profile with excellent manufacturing quality throughout. The look, feel, and construction instill confidence in dependable performance. Vaporesso nailed the hardware execution.
Pods and Coils
The XROS Nano kit includes both a 0.8ohm mesh pod and a 1.2ohm traditional cotton wicked pod. Having options caters to direct lung or mouth-to-lung preferences right away. The pods utilize push-to-fill with a self-sealing fill port, preventing messes and drying out.
All pods in the XROS family remain cross-compatible with each device. So the full range of coil resistances can be mixed and matched as desired. I achieved well over 20 refills on each pod before flavor declined, demonstrating long pod life.
Changing coils takes seconds by simply popping on a new pod. For convenience, transparency, and reliability, the pod system rates highly.
PLUS: There is also a 0.7ohm pod version available, which has some difference with the 0.8ohm pod, such as side filling instead of top filling. It's also compatible with the whole XROS coils.
Battery Life and Charging
A 1000mAh integrated battery keeps the XROS Nano running. While not huge, it’s sufficient for a full day of steady vaping. battery life aligns closely with the XROS 2 based on my testing.
The intuitive LED array displays current charge level. Charging occurs rapidly thanks to USB-C, with a full recharge taking only 45-55 minutes. Passthrough vaping remains available during charging.
Whenever you take a draw, the LED’s light up to indicate your charge level:
- 4 LEDs: above 80% battery
- 3 LEDs: 80-60% battery
- 2 LEDs: 60-30% battery
- 1 LED: below 30% battery
For a slim pod device, having USB-C quick charging makes a big difference in minimizing downtime. The battery and charging experience match what most users will need.
Airflow Adjustability and Performance
One key advantage of the XROS Nano over previous iterations is user adjustable airflow. A small slider on the side dims the airhole to tighten the draw as desired. Opening it up provides a loose MTL vape, while nearly closing it off produces an extremely tight MTL pull. This customization is much appreciated.
Both the 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm pods deliver excellent flavor that matches or exceeds similar pod systems. Density and warmth find the right balance for nicotine salts or regular ejuice. The variety of airflow settings caters to any draw preference.
I did test for the marketed “pulse mode” which supposedly enhances flavor through undetectable power pulsing. Unfortunately, head to head with the original XROS, no discernable improvement was found. Likely just some marketing terminology with no actual performance boost.

Conclusion
Vaporesso’s XROS Nano offers an undeniably satisfying vaping experience in a slim and portable package. Flavor consistently impresses from the variety of cross-compatible pod options. While the marketed pulse mode appears to be more talk than walk, adjustable airflow adds appreciated customization potential.
The XROS Nano competes easily with any top pod vape for flavor chasers. Its stylish minimalist design also outshines most devices in its class. For an inexpensive yet high performing compact pod vape, the XROS Nano is hard to beat.
