The Argentine government has ordered that all electronic cigarettes and vaping devices must display prominent, visible warnings about their health risks. Officialized by the National Administration of Drugs, Foods, and Medical Technology (ANMAT), this regulation aims to ensure consumers have direct access to information regarding the dangers of nicotine and other chemical substances present in these products.
This policy is part of a broader prevention strategy to curb the rising popularity of e-cigarettes among young people. Health agencies warn that these devices cause strong nicotine dependency and severe respiratory damage, alongside other long-term health risks currently under investigation.
According to ANMAT, requiring these health warnings will help discourage consumption and strengthen public health protection. The rule applies to all electronic smoking devices and related products marketed within the country.
